The following activities were done since election of the cabinet:

From June 2000 to February 2001

* On site visit to the Sabtieh house in July
2000.
* Nomination of Ms. G. Mouro for the
Christian Reimann award in July 2000.
* Thank You letters were sent to Mr. Chadi
Masaad, General S. Tadrus, and Mr. George
Azar (President of Mount Lebanon Branch of AAA) who actively helped
the Chapter in having back the Sabtieh house in July 2000.
* Trip to South Lebanon organized by the
social committee in September 2000.
* Portfolio of the history of the Sabtieh
House, its objectives, and how it was built
with pictures of its present status was accomplished for fund raising
activities in October 2000.
* Induction ceremony for the BSN graduates
(Class 2000) was done in Alumni Club in
October 2000.
* Meeting of the Chapter Cabinet with Mr.
John Wilkinson (VP for Development and
External Affairs), Mr. Samir Kadi (Associate Director of
Development-Director of Alumni Affairs), Dr.
Selwa Makarem (Director of AUB School of Nursing), Ms. Gladys
Mouro (Assistant Hospital Director for Nursing Services) was
done in October 2000.
* The cabinet did official consultation with
lawyer Wakim concerning the Chapter’s legal
position regarding the Sabtieh House in November 2000.
* Mr.G. Azar and his team initiated a
renovation costing plan to be submitted to the
cabinet in due time.
* Iftar organized by the Chapter in Grand
Café Raoucheh in December 2000.
* Season’s Greetings cards and gifts sent to
all members of the Chapter in December 2000.
* Professional Welfare committee finalized
the proposal for the Nursing Forum and
submitted it to Dr.Samir Alam in December 2000; it was accepted to be
done with
the MEMA. (Finalization of the agenda and approval of the
speakers is yet to be done).
* General Assembly and Seminar preparation
in January-February, 2001.

Activities of year 2001
** Nursing Forum in May 13, 2001 with the
MEMA under the title of “Trends and Issues in Nursing for the New
Millennium: A Proactive Stand for Nursing in Lebanon”.
** Followed by a Gala Dinner; time and place
to be announced later.

Activities (Tentative Plan)
** Celebrating “Child’s Day” social
Committee will organize an activity involving the pediatric patients
(March 2001).

Rafting/Weekend in Al Assi River in Bekaa (April 2001).
** Nurse’s Day Celebration during the
Nursing Forum (May 2001).
** Weekend in Ladkiah or Trip to Harissa
(August 2001).
** Vacation Trip to Armenia (September
2001).
